China’s Alibaba shows its GPT rival, Tongyi Qianwen

Alibaba Group Holding showed off its generative AI model called Tongyi Qianwen. The generative AI is the tech that powers OpenAI chatbot ChatGPT. The Chinese giant said that it would integrate the AI into all of the company's apps in the near future. Companies globally have been scrambling to launch products based on generative AI ever since Microsoft-backed OpenAI released ChatGPT in November last year. More than 10 big Chinese technology companies are said to be working on ChatGPT-like chatbots.
