Elon Musk Takes Witness Stand, Defends 2018 Buyout Tweets in Tesla Shareholder Trial

Elon Musk on Friday defended his tweet from 2018 claiming that he had lined up funding to take Tesla private in a class-action lawsuit by shareholders claiming he misled investors. The Tesla CEO delivered sworn testimony in a US court in front of a nine-person jury and a full room of media and other spectators, and the trial was adjourned for the weekend.
