Global Smartphone Shipments to Grow 12 Percent in 2021, 5G Phones to Overtake 4G Counterparts by 2022: Canalys

Smartphone shipments globally will grow 12 percent to 1.4 billion in 2021, according to Canalys. This growth will see a significant contribution from new 5G phones. The shipments of 5G phones are also predicted to overtake 4G phone shipments as early as 2022.
