Facebook says user data requests from the Indian government increased by 10% in the second half of 2020

India with 40,300 requests was second to the US in terms of asking Facebook to provide user data in the second half of 2020, and the social network restricted access in India to 878 items in response to directions from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
