Google Signs $76 Million Deal With French Publishers for News Snippets in Search

Google has signed a $76 million deal with a consortium of 121 French news publishers to use news snippets in search, according to documents seen by Reuters. The move has infuriated many other French outlets, including AFP, which deemed it unfair and opaque.
