Huawei nova 5 will feature new 7nm Kirin 810 chip

Huawei will become the first mobile phone brand with two 7nm chips in its portfolio. The news was announced in a Weibo post by He Gang, head of Huawei's smartphone division. The upcoming Huawei nova 5 will feature a new 7nm Kirin SoC, believed to be the Kirin 810 which will replace the popular Kirin 710 used in current Huawei midrangers. The other 7nm chipset in Huawei's lineup is the Kirin 980 which made its debut on the Mate 20 series last year and powers the P30 family as well.
